Norwalk DOES NOT “Cherish You,” 98 Degrees. The boy band, best known for their popularity in the late-90s/early-00s, is in our local area for a show at the Ridgefield Playhouse tonight. While they’re enjoying their stay in the Nutmeg State, some local retailers gave the “True To Your Heart” crooners a warm welcome by kicking them right out of their parking lot.

98 degrees were apparently staying at Hotel Zero Degrees, ironically enough, in Norwalk, CT. According to the The Hour, the buses would not fit in the hotel parking lot, so they moved them them to a Stop N’ Shop parking lot nearby. For some reason, that didn’t sit well with the grocery chain and customers alike, so they were asked to please leave.

So, basically, nosy people were wondering what’s the deal with the tour buses, they call the Stop N’ Shop, Stop N’ Shop says, “Yeah, it’s 98 Degrees. We want them to leave too. Guess we better get on that.” Man, you don’t kick 98 Degrees out of your parking lot! What were they thinking?

I very rarely, actually NEVER, agree with Senator Chris Murphy, but I will have to agree with his tweet about the incident. Here is what he said:

Honestly, this is unacceptable. Whenever 98 Degrees comes to Connecticut they should be treated like the kings they indisputably are. I’m sorry Nick. Please come back soon.

Amen, Murph! You just jumped up a notch in my book — that puts you at notch 1. Stop N’ Shop should’ve looked at this as an opportunity. You say, “HEY, boy band, you want the parking lot? We need an impromptu 30 minute set, so warm up your pipes.” Then, you get classics like this:

And this:

And this:

Why they are singing on Mars, I’ll never know, but they make the ladies wild.
