Caitlyn Jenner Gets Simpsonized By Artist, and Ogled By Homerby Samantha Vincenty | PopCrush
Caitlyn Jenner just got Simpsonized…sort of.
Contemporary artist and activist aleXsandro Palombo has given the reality star one of the coolest possible makeovers anyone can really hope for, drawing Caitlyn as a Springfield resident. She looks awesome.
With an illustrated version of her infamous Vanity Fair cover hanging above the bed, Palombo’s drawing depicts Homer looking on adoringly as he hangs out with Caitlyn in the boudoir. Some of the images may offend those who care deeply about a fictional cartoon man’s sexuality (I, for one, fretted over Marge and Homer’s rumored separation) but it’s all in good fun. As you can see on his Facebook page, it isn’t the first time he’s incorporated Simpsons characters into his work.
Palombo titles this collection Call Me Wonder Caitlyn, and as such, Jenner also gets dressed up as Wonder Woman. Take THAT, Fox and DC Comics! Here’s a picture of Bart standing in front of propaganda posters, holding a brush and paste bucket that says “activist.”
Palombo explained the project in a statement posted with his set of illustrations, saying, “Nowadays, transgender citizens are still marginalized and forced to live in a very difficult social situation. They are victims of prejudice, discrimination and in many cases criminalized and victims of violence.”
He continued, “Despite all of this, the policy of many countries continues to be deaf in front of their rights. We must fight this medieval prejudice and intolerance because everyone deserves to live with dignity and lead a life that match their own sexual identity.”
No word yet on a response from Caitlyn, but you can take a look at the full set of pictures here.
