Cee Lo Green Reportedly Tweets Controversial Comments About Rapeby Michelle McGahan | PopCrush
Just days after pleading no contest to slipping a woman Ecstasy in 2012, Cee Lo Green took to Twitter to discuss his case and make some seriously controversial comments about rape — including that “people who have really been raped remember.”
Though he has since deleted all of the tweets, the ‘Voice’ judge apparently went on an intense Twitter rant, in which he tweeted things like “People who have been really been raped REMEMBER!!!” and “If someone is passed out they’re not even WITH you consciously! So WITH implies consent!”
Green also compared rape to a home invasion, saying, “When someone brakes [sic] on a home there is broken glass where is your plausible proof anyone was raped.”
Prosecutors chose not to press felony sexual assault charges, and Green’s lawyer claims that relations between the artist and the woman were “consensual.” For his part, Green maintains that his “no contest” plea does not mean he is guilty.
You can see some apparent screen grabs of some of Green’s tweets below. Though the singer later apologized for his comments and deleted his Twitter, his account has since been revived — minus the controversial tweets.

BuzzFeed reports that Green’s apology tweets read as follows, though he has also deleted those as well:
“Let me 1st praise god for exoneration fairness & freedom! Secondly I sincerely apologize for my comments being taken so far out of context.”
“I only intended on a healthy exchange to help heal those who love me from the pain I had already caused from this. Please forgive me as it..”
“…was your support that got me thru this to begin with. I’d never condone the harm of any women. Thank you.”
