Towards the end of September, it was announced that the upcoming music video for Demi Lovato’s latest single, her forthcoming album’s titular track “Confident,” would be helmed by iconic action and horror film director Robert Roriguez.

Marking the director’s first venture into music video territory, it was also revealed that the video would co-star action film star Michelle Rodriguez, most notable for starring in like, almost every action flick of the 2000s, including the highly popular Fast and Furious franchise.

Today, Demi shared a brief but teasing snippet from the upcoming video on Twitter, offering fans a fleeting look at what will surely be a bad-ass music video. (Are those flashing police car lights that we see?) The video is due out October 9—take a look:

Despite being the director’s first foray into the wonderful world of pop music, the music video wont be the first time Robert has worked with Demi. This year, the filmmaker wrote a part on his TV series, From Dusk Till Dawn, specially for Demi, gushing in a statement, “I was so impressed by Demi’s fearless performance as a guest star on my TV series… that I jumped at the chance to direct her video. I basically treated this like we were shooting a high-octane action film, because she has the presence and star power to pull it off. She’s incredible.”

Yet, even that wasn’t the first time the two crossed paths. Back in 2003, a young, pre-Disney Demi Lovato auditioned for Rodriguez’s Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over. (Ironically, Demi’s BFF Selena Gomez got a pat in the flick.) And while it didn’t work out then, we can’t wait to see the two team up on October 9.
