Sawyer Sweeten, who played Geoffrey Barone on the hit television show Everybody Loves Raymond, was reportedly found dead of an apparent suicide. He was 19-years-old.

According to E! News, the young actor’s death was confirmed to the site by a rep for Sweeten. He was reportedly found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He had been visiting family in Texas at the time of his alleged suicide. A source said to Radar Online, “Sawyer was visiting family in Texas. He went on the front porch and killed himself with a gunshot to his head.” The source continued, “Sawyer’s entire family is absolutely devastated by this tragedy.”

Sawyer played the role of Geoffrey Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond, along with his real-life siblings, Madylin Sweeten and his twin brother, Sullivan Sweeten. The children’s parents were played by Ray Ramano and Patricia Heaton.

Madylin — who is now 23-years-old — wrote about her brother’s death on Facebook, saying (quote via E! News), “At this time I would like to encourage everyone to reach out to the ones you love. Let them have no doubt of what they mean to you.”

We send our thoughts and condolences to the Sweeten family and to Sawyer’s friends and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
