Fall Out Boy + Fetty Wap Perform ‘Centuries’ + ‘Trap Queen’ at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards

Fall Out Boy and Fetty Wap took the stage at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards and totally killed it with their joint performance of their respective singles.

Former scene-kings Fall Out Boy played their not-so-new track “Centuries,” off their latest album American Beauty/American Psycho. For those viewers who have been longtime fans of the band, the performance was an undeniable evolution from their earlier performances — when lead singer Patrick Stump sounded at times incoherent and off-key. Bravo for sounding nothing like that anymore, Patrick.

Rapper Fetty Wap then rose to the stage to join the group to perform a rockier rendition of his own single, Trap Queen. A freshly platinum blond Pete Wentz was in high spirits as he climbed a platform next to Fetty Wap, showcasing their enormous height difference. According to Music Times, Fetty Wap’s performance at the MTV Movie Awards marks his first time performing on national television.

Fall Out Boy are no strangers to performing with hip-hop artists. In the past, they’ve collaborated with 2 Chainz (for their video “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark”), Jay Z (for their song, “Thriller”), Lil Wayne (for their song “Tiffany Blews”), Big Sean (for the track “The Mighty Fall”) and more.
