Fifth Harmony, Becky G Are Anti-Smoking in ‘Left Swipe Dat’ Video

by | PopCrush

Want to chill with Fifth Harmony or Becky G? Better stomp out those cigarettes first, because the ladies have no hesitations swiping left if they see a pic of a guy with a cigarette in his hand.

Teaming up for the Truth campaign’s ‘Left Swipe Dat’ music video, 5H and Becky G — along with YouTubers like Grace Helbig, Harley Morenstein and many more — let the unattractiveness of smoking be known through Tinder.

“Look at you with your shirt off, flexin’ / You’re buff but you puff, hashtag perplexing,” Becky G raps. “Yeah, you work out, you’re in shape, OK / I like the six pack abs, not six packs a day.”

“You gotta, gotta, gotta swipe it left,” the ladies of 5H sing on the chorus. “You gotta, gotta gotta, swipe it left.”

While the song is insanely get-stuck-in-your-head catchy, most importantly, it carries a serious message. Did you know that you get double the matches on Tinder if you’re not smoking in your profile pics? And it’s not just a vanity thing — the people who are swiping left are probably well aware of the dangers of smoking and don’t want to date a smoker.
