Harrison Ford probably didn’t foresee any serious injuries when he agreed to reprise his now decades-old role as the famed Han Solo for ‘Star Wars: Episode 7,’ but the 71-year-old actor has found himself in the hospital following an on-set incident.

The experienced star was filming the latest movie in the ‘Star Wars’ franchise on Wednesday, May 11 when the accident occurred. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ford was in London’s Pinewood Studios when a door from Han Solo’s iconic spaceship, the Millennium Falcon fell on him and caused an injury to his ankle. Ford was then airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Disney released a statement on the incident: “Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates.”

While Ford recovers, fellow returning ‘Star Wars’ costars Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, who played Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia respectively in the original film trilogy, will continue filming alongside director J.J. Abrams and his all-star cast, including John Boyega, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie and Lupita Nyong’o.

We’re wishing you a speedy recovery, Harrison!
