J.K. Rowling did not mince words when a fan questioned the Harry Potter author’s decision to make Dumbledore gay.

According to the Independent, on Tuesday (March 24), a fan named Ana Kocovic tweeted (and later, deleted) the following: “Thank you so much for writing Harry Potter. I wonder why you said that Dumbledore is a gay because I can’t see him in that way.”

While the HP fan’s question may not have been intentionally offensive, Rowling Shut. It. Down in such an epic way that there was no further room for any more inquiries. Boom.

And the fan totally appreciated — and even agreed — with her response, reportedly writing, “@jk_rowling amazing answer… Yes you are absolutely right. Such an inspiration!!!” This tweet, as well as Ana Kocovic’s entire account, have since been deleted.

Of course, this is not the first time that Rowling has addressed the scrutiny since revealing that the beloved professor is gay. The Independent points out that when she first announced Dumbledore’s sexuality, Rowling said: “It has certainly never been news to me that a brave and brilliant man could love other men. … He is my character. He is what he is and I have the right to say what I say about him.” Bravo, J.K. Rowling, bravo!

Harry Potter once again made headlines this week when some die-hard fans/YouTube geniuses created a Lord Voldemort-themed parody of “Uptown Funk,” which was so epic it slayed more than Godric Gryffindor’s sword. Yeah, we went there.
