Justin Bieber Teases ‘Zoolander 2′ Cameo, Talks New Musicby Michelle McGahan | PopCrush
Justin Bieber, male model.
While we’ve already seen the Biebs strip down to his Calvins, JB took his ridiculously good-looking model skills to a whole other level on Tuesday night (April 28), unveiling a photo of his Zoolander 2 cameo on Instagram.
Posing with Derek Zoolander himself, Justin rocks a white, ribbed tank under a black leather jacket in the black and white Insta pic, looking a little bit like Danny Zucko from Grease — that is, until you realize that he’s doing ~Blue Steel~ and sporting some dark, spiky, distinctively Zoolander-esque hair. (Don’t worry, Beliebers: Justin makes sure to point out that the hair is just a wig and not actually his brand-new ‘do that he’s been teasing the hell out of on Instagram.)
While this picture confirms his Zoolander 2 cameo, JB had fans buzzing about the role over the weekend. “Working on something big right now over in Europe,” the singer shared on Facebook, before quoting the original film: “He is so hot right now.”
Of course, Justin joins an all-star cast that includes Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Christine Taylor and Will Ferrell, who will all be reprising their roles from the original movie. (YAASS!)
His cameo in Zoolander 2 is just the latest exciting news in Justin’s career upswing, a second chance for the singer who had several years of negative, headline-making behavior.
“I hope people felt the sincerity in my apologies,” the singer told Hero magazine (quotes via Billboard), referring to what we’ve affectionately dubbed the Justin Bieber Apology Tour of 2015. “There are a lot of things that have happened in the last couple years that I’m not very proud of, and I feel a responsibility to my fans and to the public who believe in me to make it right. I hope everyone believed it — because it was honest.”
He’s also psyched for the new music that he has on the horizon, honing a sound that will show off his evolving maturity.
“The biggest difference is that I’m older. I was 17 when I recorded most of my last album and I’m 21 now,” he revealed. “I’ve been through a lot in a public way, which gives me a much different perspective on things. I am working with producers like Kanye [West] and Rick Rubin who have influenced me and the music I listen to in a big way.”
“The creative process this time around is more personal,” he added. “When I was younger I would take other people’s experiences, now I have my own to draw from and it makes all the difference because it’s a release. It’s amazing because I’m able to really work out anything I am feeling in my music. I’m nervous whenever I put out new work because it’s such a personal journey, but I try to remember music is meant to be enjoyed — so I try to roll with it.”
