Kanye West Stops Concert, Accidentally Tells Handicapped Fan to Stand Up [VIDEO]by Thomas Chau | PopCrush
Everyone knows that Kanye West is passionate when it comes to his concerts. So while performing in Sydney, Australia on his Yeezus Tour, Yeezy wanted make sure the entire crowd was on their feet, and didn’t want to continue until they were. When he noticed a couple of fans were still in their seats, he called them out for not standing up.
The problem though? They were handicapped.
The Daily Beast reports that on Friday, West said to the crowd, “I can’t do this song. I can’t do this show until everybody stand up… Unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and shit. ‘Imma see you if you ain’t standing up, believe me, I’m very good at that.”
One fan reportedly raised his prosthetic limb(!), to which West said, “O.K., you fine.”
The real foot-in-his-mouth moment, though, occurred when he stopped performing ‘The Good Life’ and noticed another fan who wasn’t standing up. “This is the longest I’ve had to wait to do a song, it’s unbelievable.”
He then sent a bodyguard into the crowd to investigate, while crowd members began shouting at him to let him know the man was in a wheelchair.
“He is in a wheelchair? It’s fine!”
The awkward moment was caught on video by a fan, which you can see below.
