Following in the footsteps of Elton John and Ricky Martin, Madonna spoke out regarding recent controversial comments made by Stefano Gabbana & Dolce Domenico.

The remarks, which were made in an interview with Panorama magazine, concern in vitro fertilization. The duo were quoted as saying, “The only family is the traditional one. No chemical offsprings and rented uterus: Life has a natural flow, there are things that should not be changed.”

Furthermore, Dolce reportedly claimed that procreation “must be an act of love. I call children of chemistry, synthetic children. Uteri [for] rent, semen chosen from a catalog.”

In a March 18 Instagram post, Madonna shared a photo from the designers’ Fall/Winter 2010 campaign. She disagreed with their controversial comments, writing, “All babies contain a soul however they come to this earth and their families. There is nothing synthetic about a soul!! So how can we dismiss IVF and surrogacy? Every soul comes to us to teach us a lesson. God has his hand in everything even technology! We are arrogant to think Man does anything on his own. As above so below! Think before you speak.,,,,,,,,,,,#livingforlove.”

While Madonna clearly doesn’t see eye-to-eye with Gabbana and Dolce, she doesn’t appear to be protesting them either. However, Elton John and Ricky Martin both encouraged the  hashtag on Twitter and Instagram.

“I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again,” Elton wrote on his Instagram, while Ricky posted on Twitter that the designers “voices R 2powerfull 2B spreading so much h8.”
