A man has died at the Electric Daisy Carnival music festival, which is taking place in Las Vegas this weekend.

The Las Vegas Sun reports that the man, identified as 24-year-old Montgomery Tsang, 24, of San Leandro, California, collapsed and died Saturday morning after attending the first night of EDC. The coroner has not released the cause of death yet.

Insomniac, who is in charge of the festival, released a statement through their spokeswoman Jennifer Forkish:

We are deeply saddened by this news, and hope that everyone will join us in keeping his family and friends in their thoughts during this very difficult time. Dance music fans pride themselves in being part of a loving community and, as we get ready to start the second night of the show, we ask everyone to help us keep this event safe.

The Electric Daisy Carnival is an annual electronic dance music festival which has grown into a multi-city event. The west coast portion was originally held in Los Angeles but moved to Las Vegas in 2010 after a 15-year-old died of a drug overdose. At the 2012 EDC, two people died at the festival, with one of the deaths attributed to an accident as a result of ecstasy consumption.
