One Direction’s ‘Steal My Girl’ Video Breaks Vevo Record
by Michelle McGahan | PopCrushThis is a shout out to all of the Directioners out there: You did it!
One Direction‘s ‘Steal My Girl’ video has broken the Vevo record for most views in 24 hours — and it’s all thanks to you!
Harry Styles announced the news on Twitter today (Oct. 27), sharing the exciting announcement and his sincere appreciation for the band’s die-hard fans:
You legends broke the @Vevo record for the most views in 24 hours with the Steal My Girl video. Legends. Thank you http://t.co/8TsDr7Q9wo

Of course, Directioners immediately freaked out and used their fan power to trend both ‘#1DFandomSlaysTheWorld’ and ‘#WEBROKETHEVEVORECORD’ on Twitter. Seriously, is there anything that the One Direction fandom can’t do?
The vid that previously held the most views within 24 hours is Nicki Minaj‘s ‘Anaconda,’ which generated 19.6 million views in just one day. Sorry Barbz, but it looks like Directioners have you beat — at least this time.
Congratulations, One Direction and Directioners!
